New bitch pup Joyful Charm

A July 11 out of Broadacres Turbo x Fast Driver

Has shown us some good pace in unrecorded trials, still not sure how good she might be but promising trials so far.

Would like to have another runner in the Mike Cronin Unraced Stake at Tralee, now called the GMHD Juvenile Classic and still a prestigious competition to aim for, kicks off in Feb, if she's not good enough a small stake somewhere to get her started off.

A lovely looking bitch and 66 pounds so plenty of size about her.

I'll upload some pictures of her when I can find them on my computer!

Is Boots back?

A 3 month lay-off and an injury sorted, he seems sound now and a recent 15.92 trial at Monmore, not bad, and a 480 coming up will tell us more. Hopefully Boots is back! He did do some great trials at Tralee unrecorded so it's a case of fingers crossed, onwards and upwards. He's nearly two, he will be in February but has only had a handful of races so is very much like a puppy and who knows, time will tell if he is any good or not.

Only an estimated 29.60 today at Monmore - he's not race fit but doesn't seem to be at the standard we are looking for. Anyone interested in buying him let me know. Has very good early pace!

5th Feb - Boots is not back, a poor trial today at Monmore looks like he is on his way to Perry Barr and sold. A huge disappointment :-(

Golden Jacket 2013 1st round

Well Flossy has had 3 very satisfactory trials at Crayford and is running the track well, now all we hope for is a good draw in the 1st round and some luck in running from off the back. 714 metres isn't far enough for her but it is 8 bends and that plays to her strengths. Fingers crossed!

Flossy leaves for a UK campaign

Flossy going over the water today with Donal Croke to be trained by John Mullins with obvious aims for all major UK Marathon competitions until she returns home in the Autumn for another tilt at the Ted Hegarty Marathon 2013.

Sorry to see her go but there is nothing for her in Ireland as she does need extreme distances so it was either sell her, we refused a 5 figure offer but prefer to take a chance and have some fun over the pond with her.

She was in the Racing Post on Wednesday as "One to follow in 2013" even tipped to be this years Dorando Marathon winner - I hope she can live up to expectations!

Already missed her this lunchtime as no dog to take out for a walk!

Safe voyage over Flossy.
